The HP DeskJet 880C Series Printer Driver, version 11.1.4 supports the HP DeskJet 880C and 882C printers in Windows 3.1x Windows 95 and Windows 98. This driver is designed for Home Users. It should be used on computers that are directly connected to the printer from the computer's parallel or USB port (USB for Windows 98 only). This driver includes the Printer Driver, Uninstaller, and the HP Toolbox. Installation Instructions: Windows 3.1x - Insert Disk 1 into your floppy disk drive. From Program Manager choose File, then Run. Type "A:\setup.exe". Follow the instructions on the screen. Windows 95 and Windows 98 - Insert Disk 1 into your floppy disk drive. Select Start, then Run. Type "A:\setup.exe". Follow the directions on the screen. Windows 98 USB - Plug the USB cable into the printer. The Add Hardware wizard will start. When prompted to "Search for the best driver for your device" click Next. Select Specify a location: and click the Browse button. Do NOT click Next. Navigate to the directory containing the DJ880 files and then to the DISK1\Win98usb folder. Select the driver file (e.g. hpfusb98.inf). Follow the directions on the screen. Click Finish to complete the installation. The Uninstaller provides one-click removal of the driver in case you no longer need the driver or choose to upgrade the driver to a newer version at a later date.
