To set up the LQ1180+ under Windows 9x

Connect the printer to the appropriate port on your computer according to the printer manufacturer's instructions.

From the Control Panel, open Printers.

Double-click Add Printer to start the Add Printer wizard, and then click Next.

Follow the instructions on the screen to finish setting up the local printer by selecting the printer port, selecting the manufacturer and model of your printer, and typing a name for your printer.

When you are asked to select the appropriate Printer model, click on Have Disk button. Enter the path wherein the driver files are located in this driver file for your model. You can use the Browse button to do so. Then click OK button

When you are finished, the icon for the printer appears in your Printers folder.

Note:

If you want to print a test page, first make sure your printer is on and ready to print.

If you want to use a shared network printer, you can set it up quickly by browsing for the computer that shares the printer in Network Neighborhood,double-clicking the Printers folder, clicking the printer icon, and then clicking Install on the File menu.
